Christus resurgens I by Severo Bonino — Lyrics
About Christus resurgens I
These powerful words celebrate Christ’s resurrection, proclaiming that death no longer has dominion over him. The text assures us that just as he died for our sins, so he now lives for God. The second part challenges the Jewish guards of the tomb, questioning their failure to secure the stone and presenting a stark choice: return the buried king or adore him risen, joining in the jubilant Alleluia. Composed by Severo Bonino for a treble treble bass treble choir, this Latin motet powerfully conveys the triumphant message of Easter.
