Christus factus est

This setting of Christus factus est by Juan Bautista Comes is suitable for Holy Week, particularly Maundy Thursday or Good Friday. The text, drawn from Philippians 2:8-9, speaks of Christ's obedience unto death, even death on the cross. Comes’s SATB motet reflects the solemnity of the occasion.
