It's Christmas Time...

"It's Christmas Time..." is a bright, celebratory carol that captures the pure joy of the festive season. Written by Odun Edward E. and Onwuka Yolanda N., the piece opens with a warm unison melody that invites the congregation to reflect on the true meaning of the season—sharing, caring, and welcoming the Prince of Peace. The straightforward verses make it easy for the choir to sing with clear, unified voices, drawing everyone's attention to the story of our Saviour's birth before breaking into the lively harmony of the chorus.

During a Christmas Day Mass or a parish carol service, this song naturally lifts the mood of the entire church. The chorus shifts into an upbeat, rhythmic call to action, urging everybody to come together and celebrate. As the soprano line soars with "Sing Alleluia," the lower voices provide a steady, joyful foundation that echoes the excitement of the angels. It is a wonderful choice for a recessional hymn or a festive concert piece, sending the people out with a spirit of gratitude and a ringing reminder that Christ is born to bring salvation.
