Christe salus hominum

Christe salus hominum is a sacred motet for SATTB voices in Latin. The text is a fervent prayer to Christ, the savior of humankind and the invincible king. It beseeches him to bring us to heaven after the trials of this life, so that the souls dedicated to his body might not perish in his kingdom. The music sets this profound plea with rich, contrapuntal textures befitting the devotional subject matter. The composer Christian Hollander crafts a setting that reflects the solemnity and hope inherent in the text, offering a challenging yet rewarding experience for an accomplished choir.
