About Chorister's Prayer
The words of this setting of Chorister's Prayer express a heartfelt plea for divine blessing upon those who serve in sacred spaces. The text asks that the singers' vocal offerings align with their inner faith and that their beliefs translate into righteous action in their daily lives. Composer Peter Carter has set this devotional text for SATB choir. The devotional nature of the lyrics, asking for grace and sincerity in ministry, makes this a fitting choice for occasions where reflection and dedication are paramount. The choir will find opportunities for expressive vocal blend and sensitive dynamic shaping within this sacred piece.
