Chodila Maryška

This arrangement of the traditional Czech folk song Chodila Maryška is written for SATB choir. The text, sung in Czech, tells a poignant story of a young woman, Maryška, encountering Janíček in a grove. She confronts him about their broken love, to which he responds with a resigned comparison to a bird that flies away.
