About China
Suitable for a service of thanksgiving or general praise, this anthem by Samuel Babcock sets an English text that celebrates God as Creator and King. The lyrics describe how all of nature, from the elements to the seas, offers praise, urging seraphs to tune their harps and spread the news to the ends of the earth. It calls upon all mortal things to exert their force and own his name, concluding with a declaration that we will sing his honours and joys with souls and voices.
