About Cherubim Song
Alexander Arkhangelsky's Cherubim Song is a powerful sacred motet for SATB choir, sung in English. Its text draws inspiration from the heavenly visions of Isaiah, depicting the awe and adoration of the celestial host. The music would be highly appropriate for services celebrating the Trinity, or for any occasion where the supreme majesty of God is proclaimed. The choir's singing of the cherubic hymn "Holy, Holy, Holy" and the "Great God we worship Thee" creates a vivid impression of divine glory and unending praise.
