Cendres - Acclamation

Remi Studer's Cendres - Acclamation is a sacred setting for SATB choir, sung in French. The text is drawn from a responsorial psalm, inviting listeners to openness and attentiveness to God's word. The opening lines speak of God's word as truth and law as deliverance, urging the congregation not to harden their hearts but to listen to the Lord's voice. This responsorial style, common in liturgical settings, would lend itself well to congregational participation, with the choir offering a prayerful and reflective response. The music aims to capture the solemnity and spiritual depth of the sacred text.
