Caritas patiens

Carlotta Ferrari’s Caritas patiens sets words from St Paul’s First Letter to the Corinthians, Chapter 13, a famous passage on the nature of love. The composer’s setting of "love is patient, love is kind" is realised in two distinct parts, sung by SA and TB choirs respectively. This sacred Latin text, drawn from scripture, is rendered here in a style that evokes the lineage of chant, a clear and direct musical expression of the text’s profound message.
