About Canticum Magnificat
Ludovico da Viadana's Canticum Magnificat is a sacred motet for ATTB voices, sung in Latin. This setting of the Magnificat, the canticle of Mary, is ideal for Vespers services during Advent and feasts of the Blessed Virgin Mary. The text expresses Mary's humble joy and praise for God's mighty works and mercies, proclaiming his favour to the lowly.
