About C - 4. neděle velikonoční
Karel Bříza's setting of a Czech responsory text from the liturgy for the fourth Sunday of Easter is written for two voices, soprano and tenor. The Latin text, traditionally used as a Marian antiphon, is here sung in Czech. It speaks of God's goodness and eternal mercy, and of the people as his flock, called to serve him with joy. The composer's focus on the relationship between God and his people is clearly expressed through the directness of the two-part writing. This is a moving and intimate setting of familiar sacred words.
