BRUVWIYỌ ỌKẸ R'AVWARE by Rownick Enekeli — Lyrics
About BRUVWIYỌ ỌKẸ R'AVWARE
"Bruvwiyọ Ọkẹ R'avware" is a reverent Urhobo hymn composed for the presentation of gifts during Mass. The title is a plea for God to bless our offerings, setting a fitting tone for the Offertory procession. As the congregation steps forward to present the bread and wine ("bredi vẹ udi"), the choir leads them in this earnest prayer of surrender, asking the Father ("Ọsẹ") to accept the holy sacrifice.
The song's structure moves gracefully between the verses and a unifying refrain, allowing the choir to build a sense of communal worship. The lyrics speak deeply of bringing our hearts ("ubiudu") and our earthly gifts to the altar, trusting in the grace of Jesus Christ ("Jesu Kristi"). It is a piece that resonates strongly in the choir loft, offering both the singers and the faithful a moment of sincere devotion as the altar is prepared for the Eucharist.
