Bless this House.

"Bless this House" is a tender and beloved sacred song that serves as a musical prayer of dedication. Often sung to invoke God's protection over a home and its inhabitants, the piece moves through every part of the household—from the sturdy walls and tall chimneys to the shining windows and the blazing hearth. It asks not just for physical safety, but for the spiritual gifts of peace, joy, and love to fill the space.

For choirs, this piece is a fitting choice for house blessings, family thanksgiving Masses, or moments of general prayer. The gentle, flowing harmony carries a deep sense of warmth and comfort. As the voices build toward the final petition—asking that all who dwell within may be kept pure and fit to dwell with the Lord—the song becomes a moving reflection on the Christian home as a sanctuary of faith.
