About Bless, O Lord, Us Thy Servants
This anthem is a prayer for those who serve in a sacred space. The text asks for divine blessing on servants of God, specifically praying that their outward ministries—what they sing with their lips—will be matched by inner conviction and outward action. The music is set for SSATB choir in English. It offers a thoughtful reflection on the connection between faith and action, making it a suitable choice for services where the commitment of those who lead and serve is recognized or affirmed. The composer, Crys Armbrust, has crafted a setting that imbues this devotional text with sincerity and grace.
