About Ble, ble, ble
Teodoro Riccio's "Ble, ble, ble" is a secular Italian canzona for SAATBB voices. The text paints a humorous, perhaps slightly nonsensical, scene of people eating heartily and then making 'the Devil's music'. The composer uses the repetitive "Ble, ble, ble" refrain to create a playful and somewhat boisterous atmosphere. This piece offers an opportunity for a choir to explore lighthearted vocal characterization and enjoy the rich, full sound of six-part harmony in a Renaissance secular context. It is a lively and engaging work that would surely bring a smile to performers and listeners alike.
