1. Aus des gottlosen thun und werck/ Ich das bey mir befind und merck/
Daß er Gott gar nicht achtet. Und viel noch darzu von sich helt/

About Bicinium for the Genevan Psalm 36
This setting for two voices opens with a close, imitative interplay between the two parts. The Genevan Psalm 36, translated into German by Ambrosius Lobwasser in 1579, is a psalm of confidence in God's justice and mercy. The text contrasts the wicked's godless ways with the steadfastness of God's truth and righteousness.
