Benedicamus Domino

The Latin text Benedicamus Domino, alleluja. Deo dicamus gratias, alleluja. offers a joyful invocation, a call to bless the Lord and give thanks. Frans Joseph Krafft sets these words in a style suitable for sacred occasions. Scored for SATB choir, this motet provides an opportunity for rich harmonic colour and expressive vocal interplay. The piece is a fine example of the composer's contribution to sacred choral music, offering a direct and uplifting message of praise. Its clear musical lines and resonant harmonies make it an accessible yet profoundly moving addition to a choral programme.
