Adriano Banchieri was a prominent composer of the late Renaissance and early Baroque periods in Italy. Ben trovati o compagnia is a secular madrigal for SSATB voices, sung in Italian. The text expresses a joyful gathering, urging the company to banish melancholy and celebrate beauty. It calls upon fair shepherdesses and passionate shepherds to tend to their loves, before a call for silence to hear the music of the Zabaion.
