About Beatus vir a 8
This setting of Psalm 112 (Beatus vir) by Ruggiero Giovannelli is written for double choir (ATTB.ATTB or SATB.SATB) in Latin. It is suitable for use in Vespers services. The text praises the blessed man who fears the Lord, whose descendants will be mighty and generation of the upright will be blessed. It speaks of glory and riches in his house, his justice enduring forever, light rising in darkness for the upright, and his heart being established, not fearing evil reports. The psalm expresses confidence in God's enduring justice and mercy, a theme well-suited to liturgical settings.
