About Beato l'uomo che confida nel Signore (Psalm 1)
Simone Stella sets the first Psalm in Italian, an opening text for liturgical music. The psalm contrasts the blessed life of one who trusts in the Lord, meditating on divine law, with the fate of the wicked. The righteous are likened to a tree bearing fruit, ever green, while the wicked are scattered like chaff. This setting, sung by SATB choir, offers a direct and devotional musical reflection on these themes, with a clear refrain bringing unity and emphasis to the central message of faith and divine guidance.
