About B - 12. neděle v mezidobí
Karel Bříza's responsory for unison treble and tenor voices settings of Czech sacred text are a fine example of mid-20th century Catholic church music. The text, drawn from Psalm 107, vividly depicts sailors caught in a storm, crying out to the Lord, and being delivered from their peril. The music reflects this narrative arc, moving from moments of peril to eventual peace and gratitude. The alternating solo and choral responses build a dramatic and engaging musical experience, perfectly suited for liturgical use or concert performance.
