Ave Virgo gratiosa
Stella sola clarior
Mater Dei gloriosa
Favo melis dulcior
Rubicunda plusquam rosa

About Ave Virgo gratiosa
Mariano Garau composed this moving setting of a classic Marian text. Sung in Latin by an SATB choir, Ave Virgo gratiosa uses the familiar words to express profound devotion. The text addresses the Blessed Virgin Mary, praising her grace, her purity, and her role as Mother of God, comparing her beauty to a rose and a lily. It speaks of her virtues and the honour she receives from all the saints and from Christ himself. Garau's music aims to elevate these sacred words, creating a rich and reflective atmosphere suitable for liturgical use or concert performance.
