This sacred motet for SATB voices sets a Latin text of Marian devotion. The words, an extended Ave Maria, address Mary as the hope of the world, full of grace, and the mother of Christ. They praise her unique role as Christ's mother and hail her as Empress of Angels and Consoler of sinners.
