About Ave Maria
Bonaventura Somma's Ave Maria is a Sacred motet for SATB choir. The Latin text is a familiar prayer, and Somma's setting here emphasizes its devotional message. It would be appropriate for services during the liturgical year, particularly those honouring the Blessed Virgin Mary. The composer crafts a rich texture for the choir, giving a full and resonant sound to the sacred words. This motet offers a beautiful opportunity to explore expressive vocal writing within a traditional sacred context.
