About Ave Maria
Licinio Refice's setting of the Ave Maria is a sacred motet for SATB choir, sung in Latin. The text is the familiar Marian antiphon, beginning with the angel Gabriel's greeting to the Virgin Mary. Refice's music captures the devotional nature of the text, offering a rich and resonant setting suitable for liturgical use or concert performance. The four-part harmony provides a warm foundation for the clear and reverent declamation of the sacred words.
