About Ave Maria
Composed by Moritz Brosig, this Ave Maria is a sacred motet for SATB choir. The Latin text is a familiar prayer, and Brosig sets the words "Hail full of grace, the Lord is with thee; blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb" with devotional care. This motet would be particularly suitable for services during Marian feasts or any occasion in the liturgical year where the Virgin Mary is commemorated. Its style is well-suited for unaccompanied performance, allowing the rich harmonies of the SATB voices to resonate.
