About Ave Maria
The familiar words of the Ave Maria are set here for SATB choir. This is a setting of the Hail Mary prayer, a central text in Catholic devotion. The composer Giulio Bentivoglio offers a sacred anthem that is both devotional and musically expressive. The Latin text, universally recognized, speaks of divine grace and blessing, forming the basis for countless musical interpretations across the centuries. This work provides an opportunity for choirs to engage with a well-loved sacred text through a four-part choral setting.
