About Augstais gods (Tryumfy)
This traditional Latvian carol is suitable for Christmas services and concerts. The SATB choir sings in Latvian, celebrating the birth of Jesus Christ in Bethlehem. The text describes the shepherds and kings visiting the newborn child, acknowledging him as Lord and God, and the Saviour. It concludes with a prayer for peace and forgiveness for the world, led by divine guidance. The music is a fitting expression of the joy and reverence associated with the Nativity.
