Armenia by Stephen Jenks — Lyrics
About Armenia
This setting of Psalm 84 is suitable for any occasion of joyful praise. The SATB choir explores the text, beginning in Latin with the familiar words of the psalm, 'Quam dilecta tabernacula tua, Domine virtutum!' (How lovely are your tabernacles, O Lord of hosts!). The setting then moves into English, continuing the theme of longing for God's presence. The music will allow directors to showcase the expressive capabilities of their choir, with opportunities for both lush harmonic writing and moments of fervent declamation. Its blend of sacred text and accessible musical language makes it a compelling choice for liturgical or concert use.
