Annue Christe

This robust hymn for TBB voices is a powerful plea for divine intercession. Set in Latin, the text invokes Christ as the Lord of ages, asking for salvation through the merits of an apostle. The devotional lyrics express a deep awareness of human sinfulness, seeking absolution and freedom from the snares of demons. The music reflects the earnest and direct nature of the text, with the three male voice parts weaving together to create a strong, unified sound. The anthem builds towards a doxology, glorifying God the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, concluding with a hopeful petition for eternal joy.
