Anima Christi, sanctifica me.

Sanguis Christi, inebria me.

About Anima Christi
This setting of the Anima Christi prayer for SATB voices offers a devotional response to a text deeply embedded in Christian tradition. The Latin words implore Christ's soul, body, and blood to sanctify, save, and inebriate the singer, with water from his side washing and his passion offering strength. The prayer continues to ask for refuge within Christ's wounds, protection from evil, and a call to him at the hour of death, that the singer may praise him eternally with the saints. Oliver Hayes has crafted a motet that could provide a profound moment of reflection during liturgical services, perhaps in Lent or at times of personal spiritual commitment.
