Alleluia. Pascha nostrum

Giovanni Bonaventura Matucci, a composer of the Italian Baroque, provides a stirring setting of the Latin text Alleluia. Pascha nostrum immolatus est Christus. This sacred work, a Gospel Acclamation, is written for TTB choir. The text, proclaiming Christ our Passover sacrifice, is treated with fervent energy by Matucci, making this a powerful addition to any liturgical or concert setting. The jubilant Alleluia refrain is a fitting expression of the Easter celebration. The composer's rich harmonic language and memorable melodic lines are characteristic of the period. This piece offers a rewarding challenge and a profound spiritual message for choirs and congregations alike.
