Alleluia. Obtine sacris

This bright and joyful setting of the Alleluia proclaims the Resurrection with vibrant choral writing. The four-part SATB texture allows for a rich interplay between the voices, creating a powerful and uplifting sound. The Latin text, sung by the choir, offers a prayer to the Virgin Mary, asking for her intercession with holy prayers to obtain forgiveness for her supplicants. The composer Thomas Knyght crafts a jubilant musical expression, perfectly suited for the liturgical context of the Mass Propers. Its festive spirit makes it an ideal choice for services celebrating significant feasts or occasions.
