Alleluia: Mittat vobis by Franz Xaver Witt — Lyrics
Psalmus in confessione.
Jubilate Deo, omnis terra;
servite Domino in laetitia. Introite in conspectu ejus in exsultatione.
Scitote quoniam Dominus ipse est Deus; ipse fecit nos, et non ipsi nos:
populus ejus, et oves pascuae ejus.

About Alleluia: Mittat vobis
Alleluia: Mittat vobis is a setting of the Latin text for the Alleluia verse of Mass propers. The text, drawn from Psalm 99, is a jubilant call to praise and serve God, recognizing Him as creator and shepherd. Franz Xaver Witt’s setting for SATB choir offers a rich, sacred work for liturgical occasions. The composer’s skillful treatment of the text ensures that the joyful and thankful message of the psalm is clearly conveyed through the vocal lines, making it a fitting piece for choirs seeking to enhance the liturgical experience with vibrant choral sound.
