Originally written as the dazzling finale to his motet *Exsultate, jubilate*, this piece is pure, uncontained joy poured into a single word. It dances and leaps across the staff, demanding incredible breath control and a light, agile voice to navigate those famous running sixteenth notes.

In our parishes, we often reserve this kind of classical solo for high feast days, especially during the Easter season when the Alleluia returns to the Mass, or for special choir concerts. It is not a piece the whole congregation will sing along to; rather, it is an offering of vocal beauty that lifts everyone’s spirit toward the altar.
