Alleluia Anna Mater by Anonymous — Lyrics
Anna mater eximia Abrahae filia coeli fulget curia coronata gloria.
Alleluia.
About Alleluia Anna Mater
This anonymous motet for treble, tenor, and bass voices is a setting of a joyful Latin text. The music opens with a bright, imitative texture where the three voices enter in quick succession, building to a fuller sonority. The text speaks of Anna, mother of Mary, as a daughter of Abraham, shining in the heavenly court crowned with glory, a fitting subject for the jubilant "Alleluia" that concludes the piece. This setting offers an accessible yet engaging musical exploration of its sacred theme.
