Allaleleluia

The text is a single word: Alleluia. This joyous acclamation forms the basis of this motet for double choir, SSAATTBB. The composer Marcos Castán uses the repetition of this single word to build a powerful and uplifting expression of praise. The vocal writing is designed to create a rich and resonant sound, ideal for large sacred spaces. The interplay between the two choirs offers opportunities for dynamic contrast and antiphonal effects, drawing the listener into the ecstatic utterance of the Alleluia.
