Adupe Oba Ologo

"Adupe Oba Ologo" is a vibrant Yoruba choral anthem of thanksgiving and adoration, composed by Stanley Unkhoria and David Irobonosen. Written originally as a motet entry for a university choir gathering, the piece is entirely devoted to praising God's majesty. From the opening cries of "Kabiyesi o, Eledumare," acknowledging the Supreme Creator's royal authority, the song builds a powerful atmosphere of worship that resonates deeply in the choir loft.

The lyrics weave together profound traditional titles for God, calling Him the "Kiniun eya Juda" (Lion of the tribe of Judah), "Arugbo Ojo" (Ancient of Days), and "Imole aye" (Light of the world).
