About Adoramus te, Christe
Giacomo Antonio Perti was a prolific composer of sacred music in late Baroque Italy. This setting of Adoramus te, Christe is a motet for SATB choir sung in Latin. The text, a traditional devotional text, expresses adoration and praise to Christ for the redemption of the world through his holy cross. Perti's music would have been composed for services within the Catholic Church, typical of the period.
