About Adonoj Moloch
The powerful Hebrew text of this setting by Louis Lewandowski extols the might and glory of God. The opening words proclaim God as sovereign king, who will not be moved and whose throne is eternal. The chorus then calls to offer strength and glory to God, whose majesty is above the mightiest waters and whose power is supreme in the heavens. The voices are SATB, creating a rich sound ideal for this profound expression of faith and adoration. This sacred work is a testament to the enduring power of the liturgy and its musical interpretation.
