About Adjuva nos, Deus in C
This sacred motet, Adjuva nos, Deus in C, is suitable for liturgical use, perhaps during a season of penitence. The SATB choir sings in Latin, a language common to centuries of Catholic tradition. The text draws from Psalm 79, beginning with a plea for divine help and deliverance, acknowledging God as the source of salvation. It continues with a confession of sin, imploring the Lord to be merciful because of His holy name. The music supports this earnest prayer, offering a setting that is both devotional and musically engaging for a mixed-voice choir.
