ABC - Matky Boží, Panny Marie by Karel Bříza — Lyrics
Odp.: Bože, buď milostiv a žehnej nám!

About ABC - Matky Boží, Panny Marie
This responsory by Karel Bříza is for two voices, S and T. The text is in Czech and sets a prayer for God's mercy and blessing. It is a sacred work, likely intended for liturgical use. The text asks for God to show his face and make his ways known on earth, that all nations might know his salvation. It continues with a plea for peoples to rejoice in God's righteous judgment and guidance of the world. The piece concludes with a call for all nations to praise God, that all the ends of the earth may fear him. The S and T voices would likely present these pleas in a devotional and expressive manner.
