4 Motetten a 6 by Michael Kraf — Lyrics

About 4 Motetten a 6

Michael Kraf's collection of six motets for double choir offers a rich exploration of sacred Latin texts. The first motet, Prope est ut veniat tempus eius, anticipates a time of salvation and return for Israel. The second, Parvulus filius hodie natus est nobis, celebrates the birth of a son, foretelling his vast and everlasting dominion. Ecce nunc tempus acceptabile, the third, proclaims the present as an opportune time for spiritual service, calling for patience, vigilance, and sincere charity. The fourth motet, Multæ tribulationes iustorum, speaks of the many afflictions of the righteous and the Lord's deliverance. These motets, written for SSATTB voices, provide profound musical settings of scripture, suitable for services or concerts.
