3 Offertorien by Robert Führer — Lyrics
Lauda, anima mea, Dominum: laudabo Dominum in vita mea: psallam Deo meo, quamdiu (fu)ero, alleluia.
About 3 Offertorien
The words of these three Offertory motets are drawn from the Psalms, expressing praise and thanksgiving to God throughout one's life. The SATB voicing in Latin allows for rich harmonic textures, well-suited to the devotional character of the Offertory. Robert Führer's setting provides opportunities for expressive singing, with the musical lines carefully crafted to reflect the joyful and steadfast praise described in the text. These motets would serve as an uplifting addition to a sacred choral programme, offering a moment of reflection and adoration.
